Following the kick-off of the “Expert Group on Cluster Policy” on 17 March 2026 in Brussels, the European Commission established an important framework for the strategic further development of EU cluster policy until the end of 2027. The meeting brought together around 60 experts from various industrial ecosystems, regions and institutions. Uwe Pfeil, cluster manager of the two clusters AIR and Mobility & Logistics, also took part as an expert.
The aim of the meeting was to define the tasks, working methods and thematic priorities of the expert group and to clarify how clusters can contribute to the competitiveness, innovative strength and green transformation of European industry.
