AI Day 2026 thrills Regensburg

On September 25, 2026, Regensburg became a gathering place for everyone who wants to experience, understand, and help shape artificial intelligence. With around 80 program points at 11 locations, the first AI Day impressively demonstrated just how diverse the AI landscape in our region already is today. AI Day was organized by Cluster AIR Artificial Intelligence Regensburg.

About 2,000 visitors took the opportunity to learn about the latest developments, try out AI applications for themselves, and engage in conversation with experts from the business, scientific, government, cultural, and educational sectors.

Venues included TechBase Regensburg, OTH Regensburg, Degginger, the IHK Regensburg for Oberpfalz/Kelheim, MINT-Labs Regensburg, Bücher Pustet, Café Klara at the Multigenerational House, Heimat Regensburg, the movie theaters at Andreasstadel, trinnovative GmbH, and the Volkshochschule Regensburg. Spread across the entire city, this created a diverse network of events that appealed to people with a wide range of interests and levels of prior knowledge.

The program ranged from expert presentations and workshops to interactive exhibitions, readings, film screenings, and hands-on activities for children, teens, and adults. Numerous companies, research organizations, universities, institutions, and associations presented their AI projects and gave attendees the chance to experience innovations firsthand.

The consistently positive response was particularly gratifying. We received enthusiastic feedback from all sides. Many visitors expressed a desire to hold AI Day on a regular basis in the future and to further develop the format.
