On October 23, 2025, a joint matchmaking event organized by AIR Artificial Intelligence Regensburg and host BioRegio Regensburg took place at BioPark Regensburg. The event focused on fostering targeted exchanges between users and experts in the fields of biotechnology and artificial intelligence.
After a brief welcome and introduction to the two clusters, the participating companies presented their specific areas of expertise and focus. Representing AIR were AI experts from dab: Data Analysis & Consulting, medAIfusion, and OptWare; BioRegio was represented by 2bind, Lifespin, and Thermo Fisher Scientific GENEART.
This was followed by three rounds of rotating 1:1-matchmaking sessions. The participants—one company from each of the two networks—spent 30 minutes each discussing specific real-world challenges, such as optimizing production processes, and explored potential use cases for AI in that context.
The focus was on direct, practical dialogue—with the goal of identifying new points of connection across industry boundaries, tapping into untapped potential, and promoting interdisciplinary exchange in the region.
